Under the 3500's Hood

The 2016 RAM 3500 offers a maximum of 900 lb-ft of torque and 385 horsepower @ 2,800 revolutions per minute (rpm) with its 6.7-liter Cummins engine. You may instead have a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that creates up to 429 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm and 410 horsepower @ 5,600 rpm, or a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that will give you up to 400 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm and 383 horsepower @ 5,600 rpm. The 2016 3500 has a 7,390-pound payload. and can tow up to 30,000 pounds worth of stuff behind it. The vehicle has a Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 39,100 pounds. You can have either two- or four-wheel drive for your new RAM 3500. You will probably have a six-speed automatic transmission, and overdrive is available. This truck is capable of turning around in a circle with 41.6 feet available. You will have a 730-amp maintenance-free battery, except if you have a diesel engine then you will have two of these batteries. The diesel engine will include a diesel exhaust fluid unit. There is a fifth wheel/Gooseneck prep package available, and you will have a three-link suspension in the front. You may have a rear Hotchkiss leaf spring suspension. You will be happy with the 3500's standard speed control.

Design of RAM 3500

You may be able to sit up to five people in this pickup truck made to work. Although this pickup is made for the job, it does have its comfort features: The driver will enjoy a tilt steering wheel. You may have up to 43.3 inches of legroom available to the passengers back there, so they certainly will not feel cramped. You may have heated front and back seats to relax in after you may be working in any chilly weather. The front seats may be ventilated, making for maximum comfort. For interior storage you may have a rear in-floor storage box and rear under-seat compartment. A rear sliding window is available, so you might be able to experience the elements while driving if you so choose. Power windows will make it so that you will not have to spend time manually rolling the windows up and down to match your comfort level, and instead you can simply press a button to do that. The vehicle comes with a 12-volt DC auxiliary if you want to charge electrical equipment.  If the RAM vehicle has 4x4 drive, then you will have an exterior badge to show everyone that your truck has that capability. Regardless, the truck will have the Ram's head badge on the front to show that you are driving a great RAM vehicle. You can have a spray-in bedliner to make your jobs kinder to the truck bed. Painted black and chrome bumpers are available to make for a fashionable pickup truck that is all set to do the job. This vehicle may have quad headlamps and incandescent tail lamps. A locking tailgate it standard on these vehicles to make your hauling jobs easy.

The 2016 RAM 3500 will have six airbags to assist you out in a crash. A Department of Transportation (DOT) safety kit is available for each model of the 2016 3500.
